Pain Management Center

The Pain Management Center of Georgetown University Hospital provides a multidisciplinary consultation service for acute musculoskeletal disorders and comprehensive therapeutic approaches to persistant pain. The clinicians staffing the Pain Management Center are specialty-trained in the management of pain syndromes.

Clinicians function as consultants, recommending to the referring physician an individually tailored treatment plan. At the request of the referring physician, the center may assume short-term care of the patients, then return the patient to his/her primary physician for ongoing care. Pain management services begin with primary care physican referral, followed by an evaluation phase and treatment.
